3. What data we process

  • Waitlist and contact: name, email address and voluntary details (e.g. preferred dance style and level).
  • User account: login credentials and profile details, if an account is created.
  • Payment data: information for processing payments, which is generally collected directly by the payment service provider.
  • Usage data: technical information such as IP address, browser type, time of access and content viewed.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data in order to manage the waitlist, perform contracts, provide our content, communicate with you, improve our offerings and comply with legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, the legal bases are the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, legal obligations and your consent (e.g. for the newsletter).

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure functionality and to analyse usage. For analytics and marketing purposes we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) and Meta technologies such as the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). We only use these non-essential cookies with your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time and manage or delete cookies in your browser.

6. Newsletter

To send our newsletter we use Mailchimp (Intuit Inc./The Rocket Science Group LLC). With your consent we inform you by email about news and the launch of new offerings; the data required for this (in particular your email address) is processed by Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us.

7. Payment service providers

To process payments we use external service providers, in particular Shopify Payments/Stripe, PayPal, TWINT, Klarna and credit card providers. The necessary payment data is transmitted directly to the respective provider and processed there in accordance with its privacy policy.

8. Hosting and platform

Our website and shop are operated via Shopify (Shopify International Ltd./Shopify Inc.). Shopify processes data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to comply with data protection requirements.

9. Embedded content and video hosting

Our course videos are provided via LearningSuite and embedded into our platform. When videos are played, data may be transmitted to the provider. The provider's privacy policy applies additionally to such processing.

10. Disclosure to third parties

We only disclose personal data where this is necessary to perform a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so, or where you have consented. The processors we use are contractually obliged to process data confidentially and in compliance with the law.

11. Data transfers abroad

Where data is transferred to countries outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

12. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.

13. Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, as well as the right to withdraw any consent given. To exercise these rights, simply send a message to hello@countryhigh-academy.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

14. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

15. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The current version published on our website applies.
